Holiday Programs at the Library

Teens can look forward to several programs this month to celebrate the holidays at the library!

At DeMotte, a Scholastic Book fair is slated for December 6-8th.  We will also be celebrating a Winter Break Bonanza during Christmas break with a Wii Gaming program on December 26th, a Board Game program on December 28th, and a Wimpy Kid Marathon on January 3rd.

At Rensselaer, the teens will be celebrating with a teen gift making program on December 11thfrom 4-5pm by making a sequin ornament and gift box.  Also, celebrate the season of giving by voting with canned goods towards your favorite tree at the Christmas tree walk.

At Wheatfield, we will be celebrating Christmas with a “gift in a jar” program on December 10thfrom 4-5pm where ingredients will be provided for teens to create chocolate chip cookie mix in a jar for someone special.  Also, there is a teen book discussion on December 18thfrom 4-5pm on the book Memoirs of a teenage amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin.  Copies of the book are available at the front desk.

Every month, check back to see what you can do at your local library. Also, keep in mind some adult programs are open to teens also. If you have questions, just ask!
