Morning Movies at Wheatfield

This program, free and open to all interested adults, is held at 10 a.m. on a Thursday every month. It is usually the last Thursday, but winter holidays and other events can cause it to be a different one.  A variety of movies, newly released to DVD, are shown.  Popcorn and beverages are served.

Mother Goose Storytime

Age 0-23 months

Enjoy 30-40 minutes of reading, songs, fingerplays, and socialization with other yong children and their caregivers. Each session of Mother Goose Story Time consists of a variety of activities, such as music, stories, toys to play with and other fun movements.

Senior Movie Matinee

The DeMotte Library shows a variety of movies monthly, usually the second Thursday, that are free and open to all interested adults. For dates, check our events calendar. For titles, stop in at the library or call (219) 987-2221.

Spectactular Saturdays

Join us four times a year for these special programs aimed at the whole family.

Story Time

Ages 3-5

Bring your youngsters in touch with the love of reading by coming to Story Time for 3-5 Year Olds at the Wheatfield Library. Story Time is a wonderful opportunity for your youngsters to become acquainted with the library.

Each half hour long session of Story Time consists of stories, crafts, and other age appropriate activities.

Story Time

Ages 2-5

Library Kids and Toddlers alike are invited to enjoy stories, rhymes and crafts at the Rensselaer Library’s next Story Time.

This program, open to children ages 2-5, meets Mondays at 10 a.m. or Thursday at 6 p.m. every week except the last Monday and Thursday of the month. Registration is required, and seating is limited.

Third Thursday Club

Grades 1-4

Open to grades 1-4, this monthly educational program includes reading plus fun food and craft activities relating to the theme.
Registration is required and space is limited. This program meets the third Thursday of the month at 4:30 p.m.

Ages 2-3

Tuesday Night Movies at Rensselaer

This program is held at 5:30 p.m. -- usually on the second Tuesday every month. (In October it will be shown on the second Wednesday because of the Fall Festival).  A variety of movies, newly released to DVD, are shown.  Popcorn and beverages are served. This program is open to teens through adults.

UFO Group & Mindful Coloring
