Printer-friendlyPrinter-friendly

This summer at the DeMotte Library, reading will earn young adults the chance to win prizes! This summer’s theme for the DeMotte Library’s Teen Reading Program is ‘Unmask,’ and kicks off with online registration the week of May 18.

‘Unmask’ is open to teens entering grades 5-12, and all you have to do to participate is stop in the library, pick up a reading record sheet and read!

Reading record sheets will be available to pick up beginning June 1 and weekly programs will be held for this age group each Thursday at 2 pm as well throughout the months of June and July.

Some programs planned for this age group include ‘Cosplay,’ ‘Twist and Smile Balloon Instructional,’ ‘Lifesize Clue’ and more!

Weekly prizes will be awarded, as well as special coupons to area businesses. Coupons must not exceed a total of five per participant. Items read for the program may include books, magazines, or newspapers, must be checked out from the DeMotte Library, and be age appropriate.

Register online or call the DeMotte Library, 987-2221.
