National Library Week honors libraries, librarians, and library staff all across the country, and is celebrated the week of April 9-14.
This special event will be observed by the Jasper County Public Library located in Rensselaer, DeMotte and Wheatfield, with a Daily Prize Giveaway, during which prizes will randomly be given out to patrons each day of the week, and a Coloring Contest, open to ages 3-11.
To enter, pick up a coloring sheet at any branch of JCPL and return it by April 14. Coloring pages will be judged by age category.
In addition, make plans to attend these special programs, planned in honor of National Library Week!
- DeMotte Library invites families to kick back and relax by watching a family-oriented movie on Monday, April 9 @ 6 pm. Registration is required. Sign up online or call the library to register and for movie title.
- DeMotte Library invites kids of all ages and families to our annual Spring Festival, held on Friday, April 13 from 5-7 pm. This festival, sponsored by the Friends of the Library, will offer fun and entertainment for all ages!
- Wheatfield Library invites all ages to visit with local author, P. Alan Richards as he reads his book, Be My Friend on Thursday, April 12 form 5-6 pm. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing by the author.
