An afternoon of musical entertainment awaits as the Rensselaer Library cordially invites the public to enjoy a performance by the Saint Joseph College Orchestra.

Under the direction of Maxim Zheleznyak, Assistant Professor of Music at Saint Joseph’s College, this nine piece orchestra will perform a free concert at the library on Sunday, April 28. Doors will open at 12:30 pm and the concert will begin at 1 pm.

The orchestra, which is in its first year, will feature performances on violin by Maxim Zheleznyak and Kenneth Bier on guitar. Ken Bier is an Adjunct Faculty member of Saint Joseph’s College and a graduate of Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.

Mr. Zheleznyak is the Director of Orchestras and Assistant Professor of Music and serves as a regular member of the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, Manhattan Contemporary Chamber Ensemble and the Finger Lakes Chamber Music Festival.

Refreshments will be served, and all ages are invited and encouraged to attend this musical gala! The Friends of the Library are very excited to be able to provide this afternoon of entertainment and give this talented group of young people an opportunity to shine!
