National Parks Week 2012 - Picture Yourself in a Park

It's National Parks Week and through Sunday, April 29, you can get into any national park for free.

Hundreds of volunteers help out at events all year long at our local libraries. Thanks to their efforts, we are able to make all of the programs and services we offer stretch a little bit farther and look a little bit brighter.

It was just four days ago (give or take a century) that the RMS Titanic set sail from Ireland, headed for the White Star docks at New York City.

Of course, we know the Titanic never completed its maiden voyage across the Atlantic. It was 100 years ago this morning (April 15) that the ship met its tragic fate and became one of the most famous sea voyages in history.
